Remaining Days..

Even though the title sounds kinda mysterious and creepy, it's nothing more than to reflect these last days that I have, to spend "quality" time with my family. (the quality is kinda vague coz I can't describe what is termed as quality, is it being 24/7 staring at my parents/family or just being at home is enough).

I'm trying to settle the college transfer letter so that I can stay at College 16&17 with Mat and Amir. Mat gave me a copy of the letter, so I'm trying to re-arrange it.

I went out with Sameer just now to give back the bike key. We met up at Lot 10. He bought a Croc shoe (it's ugly + pricey = nah..not my taste, I need at least one of the thing to favor me,hehe). We strolled around BB, went to Pavilion, then turn back to Low Yat. Went there to survey PDA for him. The prices are very attractive for (I'm saying this since I am stingy guy and very cerewet when it comes to phone/PDA price) my view.

There was this 2nd hand Xperia-X1 at one of the shop. It was a thing of beauty. The way it slides open and close, the way it was built, the UI, I was in a sort of trance then.

'Coz of it, I decide that once I've settled at the UTM later next week, I'm gonna find part-time work and save for a new phone, hehehe..also if possible, for my own DSLR

...damn..when will that be ah?..i wonder..

Tragedy Strikes UTM

Just as the new sem coming up nicely, i read the newspaper today that police have found a dead 26 year old female student due to delivery complication. found with her is, a still born baby with umbilical cord wrapped around the neck..(source: The Star 1-july-09)

it's a tragedy, but nonetheless a shame to the university. i do feel pity for her and the child..but, it is believed she's unmarried so she was pregnant out of wedlock. that's gross.

one must think that those going to university are of the bright and smart ones, but this type of tragedy and news proves otherwise. there's definitely social crisis happening in every university that needs addressing, not by the administration alone but by the students especially.

it's definitely a sad new semester

The silence, joy and death

Kali ni aku nak cuba blog dlm BM lah..hehehe..

The Silence yg aku maksudkan ni, sebab aku xdapat online 3-4 hari..Puncanya : Modem terbakar kna kilat. Yang peliknya, time ujan ari tu, mmg umah aku dh blackout (sbb fuse trip bl ade kilat/petir yg kuat). Plug adapter laptop & plug modem melekat lagi kt dinding la sbb dh biasa cmtu. Adapter laptop ok jek, tp modem ni lak yg xleh pakai..but now, I'm back on track beb!..terima kasih banyak2 la kat TM yg pantas buat tindakan susulan pas aku report Sabtu lpas..(hehehe,dengan bangganya aku online guna modem baru jenama Billion. Yg lama brand Riger)

Joy ni lak, bukan refer kt Lina Joy @ minuman Joy Kickapoo, tapi refer kat majlis bersanding kawan aku, Amy & Uzair. Makanan hari tu, mmg highlight of the day. Sajian yg cukup mantap oleh DJS Catering kalau x silap.

pss: bila tgk kawan2 dh start kawin ni, rasa cm dh tua lah pulak..hehehe

Death refers to the recent departure of the legendary musician/performer Michael Jackson. Seriously, I don't know him well enough as a person and as a fan to say or to give my 2 cents worth comments about his life and death. But what I do know is that, he knows how to perform, write and sing songs that even now sounds fresh and entertaining. Who are we to judge him just based on what was written and shown in the news?..What I do believe is that, he's off for a better place now, after all the negative remarks (like Wacko Jacko, the prosecutions, etc..). Rest in Peace Michael Jackson!..

Sh#t!..it's dripping on the keyboard..

~scramble for tissue~

now I'm feeling bad for those suspected with A (H1N1), must suck knowing you endanger the life of those around you without knowing..

I know What I did Last Weekend...

Last weekend, I had a whirlpool of fun, goin out with friends from UTM who are doing Industrial Attachment in KL.

We met up at KL Sentral and discuss..and discuss...and more discussion on where to go and what to do, hehehe. It's usual for us to go nowhere. It's been like that since in UTM. We'll plan to meet, to plan, to go somewhere else...but, usually..it never happened like that, hehehe. Maybe we have priority disorder (read: a cute disorder signified by inability of the person to stay on track and focus on what was supposed to do, rather be carried away with whatever topic that sprung up at that moment)

Even though we eventualy made a move to Times Square, we were still wandering aimless. Still, we had lots of fun, at least I did, being able to be with them. Now, nothing beats that!..

Later, I went to my friends place in Padang Jawa and holed up there for the night. The morning after, went for breakfast and we lepak again, this time at Jusco Bukit Raja and check out the UiTM girls coming for weeekend shopping or just to hang out (the girls..they definitely know how to dress for the weekends) N-I-C-E!.....

Friday blues..

It's Friday again..

Fridays' has a distinct feel to it. As it is with the weekends. I always get this "feeling" when it's weekend (my primary English teacher said that Friday is considered as weekend, but not everyone seem to know or agree on it).

Weekends are solemn and peaceful.

On Friday, you get the feeling like the end is here (that sounds like Armageddon right?..well, it feels more like you're finishing up the week as it is). One can feel the excitement spilling over (especially for the government employees and bankers, they got the weekends for themself, hehe). Proof: Just head over BB clubbing area and I bet at least half of them are bankers from the area (some bring extra clothes and change, but some I guess just felt relieved another stressful week is over...for 2 days the least, hehehe).

On Saturday, one gets mixed feeling, as being on the fence (half of you is already going to party but, half of you is still confused 'coz most of your friends got half day work or you just simply woke up late). Proof: You can still see people wander around BB area with nicely pressed shirt and pants, maybe not formal clothing but mostly casual and semi-formal.

Sunday...Aahhh..the crown of the weekends. Once you woke up on the morning, there definitely is a strange feeling. You feel composed, calm and as if in trance. If you're fortunate enough to live in an environment with lush greenery, you'll get the blessing of birds in the morning. The morning could only go better with the arrival sunshine, gently and mildly shining as it climbs up the day. Just take a walk around town or around the neighbourghood, dump your car (not dump it for sure but just give it a rest and take a walk or public transport) and traverse the roads. You can stumble upon suprises such as new development areas in the neighbourhood or someone you know but never knew he/she lives nearby.

Weekends are blessings that we should take for granted and use it as it supposed to, with family, friends and loved ones. Don't be ridiculous and say work comes first, as one can live without job but not without family.

I love weekends...

Wedding..

I went for the wedding of my SIL's uncle's son. It was held at Civic Centre Hall at PJ (ya, one of the favourite place to hold wedding amongst my relatives), but *damn* the place was incredible!

It got an aura of a palace..or at least it gives the sense of being in one. With the grandeur interior it's a definite place to hold one's most memorable day in life.

That was the first thing that amazed me. Next, it was the whole concept of the wedding. It's unusual in our circle for anyone to get wedding planner's service for their wedding, but this wedding was just that..unusual..The theme was a mix between red and gold, giving this feeling of exclusive-ness and royal like. There's a special dining place just for the bride and groom at the centre of the hall, getting them absolute attention from the guests. Then there's this place at the corner of the stage (where the pelamin was) for the couple to have "ala Champagne toss", but using sparkling juice. There's also ice sculpture of two fish smooching and the usual, 6-storey cake (hehehe).

The next stunning thing to happen was..the COUPLE!!..Especially the groom, he was handsomely fitted to, like an English Admiral (like the one in Pirates of Carribean, the elaborate costume worn by the Admiral, minus the attitude, hehe). Their costume matches the theme to a tee!..

To sum it up, the wedding was one of the most inspiring that I have ever seen in my life!.. I'm beginning to plan my wedding already, hehehe..

Last nite activity..

Yesterday was a hectic day!..
First, went with my family for a bit of "family bonding" at our friendly neighbourhood Tesco (hehehe). It's a nice break from my usual at home doing online surfing without outside contact. Taking long strolls at public places like this always amazes me. It's a a hobby/fetish of sort for me, to observe people, hehehe, but not in the wrong way mind you..

Just peaceful to watch the families stroll with kids on tow, all smiling and brim with happiness. Not forgetting the tantrum-atic kids screaming/begging for toys (by the way there was cheap sale for toys, so my nephew got a new set of car toys, hehe, lucky him).

Later, around 4pm, Iwent with my S.I.L to Low Yat to buy laptop for her, with my naughty nephew in tow of course, hehehe.. Finally, after an exhausting 5hours, we finally went back home with Compaq laptop and a Lexmark printer (very cheap, for RM 399 got a 5-in-1 (print,photostat,scan,fax,wi-fi).

We rushed home 'coz I got badminton practise at 10. As expected I was late by more than half hour for the practise (got scolding from my bro a bit, hehehe, sorry bro). I was totaled!.. The guys that we practise with played superbly! But that's no wonder la 'coz they practise a lot and don't expect me to master the art of badminton-ing in just few strokes..If life's a Bollywood movie, then that can happen,hehe..But the guys were very supportive and even taught me of the proper way to hold the racquet and way of swinging the wrist.

Went back with world of aches on my body..have to excercise more after this..been a long time since the leave started at May that I haven't touched my dumbbell..

Raining lagi..

~One of my flower pot..My new hobby, hehe~

The rain is back today after yesterday's AWOL. Now I don't have to sweat like a pig, at least for today, hehe.

I walked, after a very long time, for the Friday prayer. The mosque is at the valley basin so usually I would go to KLCC mosque (take a bit of stroll afterwards, hehe). I took the road near this new taman  that have been created here. It's a real short cut compared to the original path I used to take. The taman looks absolutely stunning, with the mountain as background (and all around it). Yet, it's pitiful too see so much of the forest have been flattened to make way for it.

Later, I should go back and take a few snap around that taman

Did some cleaning up around the house. The drainage got clogged, so as an ever-so-obedient-son, I cleaned it up, hehe. The fan also needed some polishing, so I did it as well but it keeps making the squeaky noise even after I poured in generous amount of coconut oil. Have to check it back later.

....gonna see around the house if there's anything else I can do to help my dearest mummy..hehe..Ciao!..

Hazy day..

I was wondering why suddenly this week the sky's always cloudy and looking gloomy.. Ah.. No wonder la, 'coz of El Nino phenomena. It's cool and chick sounding, but very deadly..well, not so deadly la, hehehe.

Today, as usual I surf the net and enjoy being bored hehehe. I saw Joanne's blog is up and she posted two poems. It's so..so..emotional sounding, hehehe. I'm already over that period in my life so don't have the patience to read and understand it (sorry Joanne, hehehe).

This weekend I'm planning to go to Low Yat, helping my Sis-In-Law buying her maiden laptop.

....Wanna find Jai Ho feat. Nicole Scherzinger, but dunno where..

~This toilet belongs in one of the classy looking cubicles at Gardens Mid Valley..hehe~

It's almost midnite now.. I'm just hooked on the Internet more than I had ever been. ~Heck~ I was one of the ppl who think Internet got everything you can possible get in the world, yet can find something that can amuse or make me stay longer.

Usually I'll just check my Friendster and Facebook account and surf here and there a while and that's it. But..(as there always is in the twist in every possible great stories been ever told or..made up) I'm hooked on the Internet!..As if my very life is running by life-support machine that needs to be online 24/7. (In computer science field it's called/termed 'online oxygen' - where one can't live without Internet/has constant urge to stay online..hehe,might sound made up, but seriously ppl, it's one of the thing I managed to memorise from my Computer Science subject..hehehe).. I'm growing my interest in the Internet day-by-day..

What's happening: My 3rd brother is watching DVD of The Snatch ~ he's one of my inspiration and source when it comes to getting altenative/underground/indie/subculture products/items. Name it, from movies to memorabilia, he had cultivated this different taste that's totally different from the rest of us siblings. He better stay this way, hehehe..

Blogging ~ it's therapeutic, think it's my yoga but minus the awkward and impossible positions..

Adios!..for now..

My night..Out

Last nite I lepak with my friend Mat, from UTM, who is undergoing Industrial Attachment at a chemical company in Padang Jawa, Shah Alam.

Actually I was gonna come back home last nite, but made impossible 'coz I was already late arriving there. Why did I get there late?.. Here's the story..

I took Ampang LRT from my home to Masjid Jamek station. From there, I took the Kelana Jaya Line (PUTRA LRT actually, dunno why they have to change the name and confuse people) to KL Sentral. From there I took KTM Komuter to get to Padang Jawa.

LRT: Of the three, the LRT ride was the smoothest and less hassling for me. The passengers are well behaved when embarking and disembarking from the cabs. What was good to see is that, the passengers have mutual respect by allowing those exiting to get out, before entering. This not only gives good impression of us,but also make the train ride better (hehehe).

PUTRA: Of the three, PUTRA is a class act in terms of exiting-entering the cabs. They even provide asisstant who gives out instruction (he's kinda like Pengawas there, hehehe). When the train arrives, he will shout "Bagi orang keluar dulu!...", then he shouts "ok, masuk terus, masuk terus!..", just in time before the door closes. They even provide separate line to enter and exit the cabs. Kudos to the management!..but my only complaint will be, the SPACE! If they could just make the platform bigger and add in more cabs to the train, it definitely will sweeten the ride.

KOMUTER: The worst of the three. First, the platforms provided at the KL Sentral station is not properly ventilated (everyone who had taken a ride there sure knows this). Second, the crowd here are not as organised as at the LRT and PUTRA. There are still those that didn't line up properly and wait for passengers to exit the cabs first. Third, I lived as a canned sardine throughout the ride to Padang Jawa! There's literally no-way for me and the other passengers to move without bumping onto others. The air inside the cab was not ventilated properly either. It's pitiful for me to see a baby sweating in his/her crib, with cheeks turning red (but thanks to other commuters, 'coz some of them offered their place to the family and some "hand-fanned" the baby using papers). I was sweating like a pig all the way (pity those who had to stand under my arms 'coz it sure had smelled heavily, hehehe). The management should SHOW improvement not just mention it.

Overall, the ride was eye opening and in a way I enjoyed it as I never had a ride on the three trains on the very same day. It's very fortunate for us to have different types of transportation, even though it's not up to the par, we can all strive together to make the improvements right?..

Malaysians are first-class citizens!..

Weekend Escapade

Yesterday, as I had mentioned in one of my previous post, I went for weekend escapade with my buddies. It was me, Joanne, Presnah and Yan (Joanne’s BF). We met at Mid Valley Megamall.

When I eventually turn-up to meet them, I was already late by..emm..~how to put this nicely ah~..50..56 minutes ~giggles~..Thank god they were on a cheery mood when came to them at Carl’s (near McD opposite GSC). They were all smiling and Joanne said, “we all were making guesses of what you will look like, when you turn up, hehehe”..Yan almost nailed it to the tee. He guessed:

-          Long hair……(√)

-          Curled up hair…….(√)

-          Beard……(√)

-          Glasses….(√)

-          Striped tee…(x)

He almost got me figured out!...Maybe I was getting to predictable perhaps? Thank god that I had a change of mind about the tee in the very last minute (I used the tee that I bought at Padang Besar while at MASUM..hehehe).. I guess I am predictable ‘coz I do have penchant for striped tee (~heck~ every man has a penchant for it!).

Then we all take a walk around that level. We wander off to Gardens. Boy! It does look like a big house of boutique with the design that exudes class and high standard. One look around and you can notice the shops there are not for those with small pockets (like ME!!!!) but still, it’s good to know about the high class brands as it can come in handy for me (I forgot to mention, I studied Marketing, so, I tend to see things in marketing way..hehe).

The price?..mmm, the brand image justifies the price guess. Well, it’s definitely boasts one’s image when you walk around in Raoul or Obermain right? Well that’s the price you pay apart from the material and other costs.

Right after exiting Robinsons, we went to the LEGO shop beside it and sit there for like, an hour and played with the LEGOs, hehehe (seriously, we did play). We stayed there and “built” the magnificent lost Mayan temple with a tower and big love shaped entrance and heavily guarded by giant robot with gender issues. It was definitely F-U-N!!!!.. I was playing like a child! And I never did like this for as long as I can remember. It won’t be possible without my buddies! Big thanks to them..

After it, we wander again and went for dessert at the food court. We had some local delicacies at the Jonker Sweets. I had the Ais Kacang, Joanne and Yan shared this fruit mixed thingy which looked extra delicious and Pressy had Cendol. Even though I usually have reservation about having local delicacies at shopping malls (‘coz frommy experience, the taste of the food won’t be as same as in the lorongs or mamak stall), boy, how I was corrected for this instance! My Ais Kacang was superbly done! All the ingredients was well proportioned to give an even taste to it.

After the sumptuous desserts, we head on to the GSC to watch ~yikes~ Hannah Montana Movie!!.. They told me they were buying for Terminator: Salvation, but tickets all sold out by the time they went. I can’t describe my exact feeling that time. I did feel cheated. But then, it’s no big deal, as long as I’m watching it with my friends. I do think it was a blessing in disguise. Why? ‘coz I didn’t have any perception or expectation for that movie and when the film starts rolling, it was pretty good!.. The story basically deals with Miley having to choose between her own identity and Hannah Montana; and balancing both the lives. One of the inspiring line in the movie for me was, “life is a climb, but, the view is great!”..~heck~ that’s brilliant and simple yet thought provoking.

Finished the movie around 6pm +..then we all parted ways, after saying good bye to each other..

I came home tired, yet spiritually fulfilled and relaxed, having met my friends..

Mind Your Language 1

This is a hilarious price tag that I managed to capture when I went to Nilai 3 yesterday. At first, when I read it (after talkin to the bangla seller for a while) it seems perfectly fine. Once I re-read it, I broke into laughter!hehehe..and the bangla sales asisstant looks at me innocently and ask if there's anything wrong..

..no wonder Malaysia is Truly Asia..hehehe..

The NILAI 3 experience..

Yesterday, I went to Nilai 3 with my family..what a mistake that was!..
The place was humongous and the entire area was about ~what else~ CLOTHES!!..

I never seen so many clothes (i.e. any type of fabric) in my LIFE!!..

For me, all the clothes does look the same, but that ain't the case with the "ladies" that I went with. They can scrutinize each cloth to every minute detail as possible and make detailed comparison of each cloth they look at. Hats off to them, 'coz they have Photographic Memory ~hehe~ that helped them to make the comparison.

Another "terror" that I uncovered yesterday was, how "brutal" the ladies can get when it comes to bargaining on price. This is how the conversation will go (more or less, hehe):

C:Boss..ini kain berapa harga?
S:Ini kain kita jual RM 80 kak..Kakak punya pasal kita kasi 60 saja la..
C:60?!..manyak mahal la itu macam!..kasi kurang lagi la..RM 50 sudah la..
S:50 tak boleh la akak..kita boleh tutup kedai itu macam..saya kasi 58 la kak..
C:..~the ladies discuss among themself~..mahal lg la boss..kasi kurang lagi la,kita datang dari jauh ma ~now they speak as if speaking with Chinese seller,hehe~..duit minyak kereta pun banyak tau..
S:Itu sudah best price la akak..Saya sudah kasi banyak morah la kak..saya pun dapat untung sikit saja..
C: Kasi 50 sudah la boss..kita u kasi murah orang lain u kasi harga biasa la ~conniving ain't it?hehe~..
.....the same type of conversation goes for about 10 mins, meanwhile I was standing like a pak pacak looking at what was going on...Finally..

S: Ok la kak..saya kasi last price 52..ini pun sudah banyak murah kak..
C:kasi 50 la boss..2 ringgit kasi duit minum la..boleh la boss..
S:...Hmmmm ~seriously,it was the longest humm I ever heard~..OK la,OK la!..akak saya kasi 50 la..OK la,OK la..
C: ~triumphtantly~..itu macam la boss..lain kali kita datang lagi shopping kat kedai u..
S:..takpa kak, lain kali kasi pegi kedai lain la kak..u datang slalu kita boleh tutup kedai itu macam..

...That conversation was just to buy one type of cloth!..and the same type goes on for every shop that we visited and I was there as pak pacak  again and again..Seriously, the trip was a true test of one's stamina and fitness including mental fitness. Again, I had to bow out to the Ladies 'coz they outlast, outplay and outwitted me ~hehe~..

...note to myself..never go on another crazy shopping trip with ladies, no matter how attractive it sounds..

Goin Out + Camera blues..

YAY!..
I'm goin out this weekend to meet couple of friends at MidValley. These buddies are from my course in UTM.

The so called 'mini gathering' is actually to do some 'research' (~giggles~) based on our Tourism Marketing subject that we all took (well..not all of us since it's an elective subject, but those who are coming for the hold-up are those who have taken the subject..~fuhh..that's confusing and breath taking..hehe~). There's Global Indian Expo or something at Mid Valley, that's one of our aim..

Hopefully I can find a camera by the weekend, which is ~darn~ just a day more to spare!!..Oh Gosh! I have to find myself a camera by then or I sure will lose the "colourful" images that will adorn the place.

it's my beginning..

This is my first and foremost blog and post..I don't have any particular reason for this blog nor do I wish to have one..I have a penchant for travel, food, arts, culture, photography and many more..

..I'm still at loss for words, so I'll just write once I got something to say/share..hehehe
