Yesterday, as I had mentioned in one of my previous post, I went for weekend escapade with my buddies. It was me, Joanne, Presnah and Yan (Joanne’s BF). We met at Mid Valley Megamall.
When I eventually turn-up to meet them, I was already late by..emm..~how to put this nicely ah~..50..56 minutes ~giggles~..Thank god they were on a cheery mood when came to them at Carl’s (near McD opposite GSC). They were all smiling and Joanne said, “we all were making guesses of what you will look like, when you turn up, hehehe”..Yan almost nailed it to the tee. He guessed:
- Long hair……(√)
- Curled up hair…….(√)
- Beard……(√)
- Glasses….(√)
- Striped tee…(x)
He almost got me figured out!...Maybe I was getting to predictable perhaps? Thank god that I had a change of mind about the tee in the very last minute (I used the tee that I bought at Padang Besar while at MASUM..hehehe).. I guess I am predictable ‘coz I do have penchant for striped tee (~heck~ every man has a penchant for it!).
Then we all take a walk around that level. We wander off to Gardens. Boy! It does look like a big house of boutique with the design that exudes class and high standard. One look around and you can notice the shops there are not for those with small pockets (like ME!!!!) but still, it’s good to know about the high class brands as it can come in handy for me (I forgot to mention, I studied Marketing, so, I tend to see things in marketing way..hehe).
The price?..mmm, the brand image justifies the price guess. Well, it’s definitely boasts one’s image when you walk around in Raoul or Obermain right? Well that’s the price you pay apart from the material and other costs.
Right after exiting Robinsons, we went to the LEGO shop beside it and sit there for like, an hour and played with the LEGOs, hehehe (seriously, we did play). We stayed there and “built” the magnificent lost Mayan temple with a tower and big love shaped entrance and heavily guarded by giant robot with gender issues. It was definitely F-U-N!!!!.. I was playing like a child! And I never did like this for as long as I can remember. It won’t be possible without my buddies! Big thanks to them..
After it, we wander again and went for dessert at the food court. We had some local delicacies at the Jonker Sweets. I had the Ais Kacang, Joanne and Yan shared this fruit mixed thingy which looked extra delicious and Pressy had Cendol. Even though I usually have reservation about having local delicacies at shopping malls (‘coz frommy experience, the taste of the food won’t be as same as in the lorongs or mamak stall), boy, how I was corrected for this instance! My Ais Kacang was superbly done! All the ingredients was well proportioned to give an even taste to it.
After the sumptuous desserts, we head on to the GSC to watch ~yikes~ Hannah Montana Movie!!.. They told me they were buying for Terminator: Salvation, but tickets all sold out by the time they went. I can’t describe my exact feeling that time. I did feel cheated. But then, it’s no big deal, as long as I’m watching it with my friends. I do think it was a blessing in disguise. Why? ‘coz I didn’t have any perception or expectation for that movie and when the film starts rolling, it was pretty good!.. The story basically deals with Miley having to choose between her own identity and Hannah Montana; and balancing both the lives. One of the inspiring line in the movie for me was, “life is a climb, but, the view is great!”..~heck~ that’s brilliant and simple yet thought provoking.
Finished the movie around 6pm +..then we all parted ways, after saying good bye to each other..
I came home tired, yet spiritually fulfilled and relaxed, having met my friends..
